Gratitude is a common concept that we follow every day , but sometimes its that we might not be aware of it.

These days, espicially after the covid lockdown , all the social media websites , the blogs and even new apps are created around gratitude.

Gratitude journal, gratitude prompts, gratitude ideas what not.

To be honest, I have no idea what this all meant.

But , the only one thing I knew right from my childhood is to THANK GOD for what he has given me, Thanking the universe to make me feel alive everyday, thanking the people around me to make me feel that I m loved.

I think it is all the word Gratitude meant.

“To be grateful for whatever you have in life and not to complain for what you do not have.”

Since , many of us are caught up so busy in life that we even do not recognize the smallest things that made our life a big difference and comfortable.

So , I think that’s when the gratitude journal & gratitude prompts came in to the picture!

My Way of writing Gratitude Journal :

As, I said earlier, I think Ive been practicing gratitude long back and might not agree that it is just like the today’s world of gratitude journal & prompts.

But here are few regular gratitude practices that I follow !

  • Saluting to God or Sun as soon as I wake up, I thank them to make me see the world today (offcourse, I request them to give me a good day today :P)
  • Thanking God before eating food (I missed eating breakfast for almost three years, when I was working in night shifts before lock down, I clearly am thankful to God for giving me this chance to have breakfast everyday )
  • Whenever I come home from work, or a trip, I thank God for giving me shelter and I say myself (I love you HOME). Yes I really do this out of happiness that I finally come home to my favorite space

My most favorite part of feeling gratitude is during the time of SUNSET.

I thank him for the opportutinites he has given me, for the ability to stare at the beautiful dawn!

These are very few of the little things that I am grateful to GOD and I will be feeling this gratitude for whatever he has given me.

And sometimes I write along with some journal prompts as specific as this , to recover myself from anxiety
