Journaling will definitely help you in various ways if you can really be consistent at it and love doing it.

Journaling is a practice that can be done in many different ways. It can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be.

I started journaling at a very young age and I love it every now and then.

I would be happy if any of the below steps helped you start journaling.

How to Start Journaling

9 steps to help you get started with journaling:

1) Find a notebook and pen that you like.

Select a notebook from your old shelf or order a new one from Amazon.

Just start writing whatever your mind speaks on the first day.

2) Decide on the frequency of your journaling (daily, weekly, monthly).

Decide on how many times you can journal, as a beginner it might be tough to dedicate certain time to write the things off, but if you set the timing, it will help you to make journaling a hobby.

3) Write down your goals and aspirations for the day in the morning

Once you start writing it frequently, do not forget to add goals and your aspirations.

This will help you manifest the things that you desire and also constantly remind you of your own thoughts.

Also, it will give you a clear vision if those are realistic goals or not. Plan the action items if you feel the goals are realistic.

4) Write down what happened during the day after it happens.

Write about your day, Never feel low if you don’t find anyone to share your day with.

You have your best friend beside you- The Journal.

5) Write down what you’re grateful for at night before bedtime.

Write about your possessions and journal about the positive things in your life. Document what makes you feel grateful in life.

6) Keep track of your moods and feelings each day.

As you continue to write the journal as a beginner, you will get a chance to observe much of yourself.

Once you turn back the old pages and read them, you will understand your moods.

This helps you feel better and correct yourself if there’s anything to change.

7) Record any new skills or knowledge you learn each day.

Do not forget to record any new skills that you’ve learned. If not at least make a note about the things that you wish to learn.

This helps you to grow personally and keep a track of what you would like to achieve and how far you’ve come in life.

8.) Paste the pictures you like

This is one of my favorite idea for journaling. You might have many favorite moments in your life with the people you love.

Paste the pictures in your journal once in a life, this really makes us feel better when you look at them at any point in life.

9.) Use Your Creativity

You can also use your own craft to start the journaling, you can doodle, paint and prepare a list of what you would like to write about every day.

Doing it own all by yourself helps you relieve some stress and give you the best feeling ever.
