My grandparents are the most organized people that I have ever known.

Organizing life, Organizing time, Organizing home, and Organizing the mind is the main motto of their life when they wake up every day!

It is that time when I forcibly stayed at my grandmother’s home during my schooling, that I understood the real benefits of getting organized in life.

I questioned myself, Can I be 100% organized? How do I begin organizing myself?

I thought of some takeaways from their lives and started using the tips, I may not be 100% organized but I am definitely halfway there.

And, I am far better now than I was.

If you’re looking for ways to organize your life, start here with some baby steps.

Ways to Organize Your Life :

1. Organize Your Time

Time is what we all struggle for, of course along with money.

We always find ourselves running behind the time. Sometimes, even it feels like 24 hours a day is not enough to complete our tasks.

So, if we organize our time as per our tasks, not only we will be organized but also we can do better at our work.

  • Start by writing your tasks of the day
  • Divide them by the time it takes to complete and set a deadline.
  • Set a slot to complete each task
  • Tick off that task once it’s done, and move to the next one.

This way, you will be able to set a routine according to your tasks, which helps you to better organize your time and work.

I use a factor notes planner, to write down the tasks. I write it at night or early in the morning to plan my day.

2. Say No to Procrastination

Procrastination is the main problem that stops us from being productive.

Even though we plan to do a heck number of tasks, we fail to do them because of procrastination.

We fell into the trap of the trick ” doing it later, can do it easily at any time”

But, that’s where we all take the wrong step. Every task should have its own timeline and should be done on or beforehand.

Doing it later will never get it done.

3. Stay Away from Social Media

I know this may sound too harsh, but I am not saying to avoid social media completely.

Rather, use it to the minimum. With too many things happening around us, there are high chances of an increase in our anxiety levels.

When we suddenly see a picture, we share it and scroll it to the end. But we forget about the tasks that are left to do.

Avoid Mindful Scrolling of social media. Only use it for a particular time a day and you can do your chores for the rest of the day.

Few ways you can reduce your time on Social Media :

  • Set time alerts on your phone for social media apps to close after using for a certain time
  • Uninstall unnecessary apps to shut down notifications.
  • Read-only the content that is helpful, leave the fake visual stuff.

4. Clean Your Space Yourself

Cleaning is the most important habit when it comes to organizing yourself.

When you organize your space properly, everything seems to fall in place.

It is also said that an Untidy space can induce negativity.

Sleeping late hours in the morning may take up a maximum of your day time thus resulting in so many pending tasks.

Some people prefer working at late night according to one’s own comfort, that is fine up to some extent, But if we are just binge-watching at night and wake up late in the morning is a big problem.

Few tips that help to wake up early :

  • Start as small as 15 minutes before( Try to sleep early at night – and follow the same in the morning(try to wake up at least 15 minutes before usual )
  • Make sure you have 7-8 hours of night sleep
  • Stay away from the phone before sleeping
